Bytescout Post2Blog is a blog editor that supports many blogging platforms, for example, Wordpress, Blogger, etc. It is a very powerful desktop blogging application that is not only lightweight but also very user-friendly.
There is no need to be any sort of code "guru" while using Post2Blog as it is a simple WYSIWYG editor just like Microsoft Frontpage. There is an added bonus with this feature, that is the availability of emoticons whichcan be used to display some gestures using small images.
The program's interface has also been translated into Spanish and Russian along with English. This makes the application available to a vast number of users around the world.
Post2Blog also features such incredibly useful feature as "live" spell checking.
Post2Blog also includes some handy plugins for Firefox, Microsoft Word, etc., that allows you to post to your blog directly from within the application. Another useful plugin is the addition to the Windows Explorer context menu. This allows you to just right-click on any file and publish it to your blog using the "Post2Blog" option.
The developers at ByteScout have realised that all their users may not have access to a single computer all the time and have added a portable feature so that you can post to your blog from anywhere and at any time.
Overall Post2Blog is a very useful and power-packed application for anybody requiring a desktop blog editor. The only flaw in this application is that it is not supported anymore.
